Abstract:The centrosome, a unique membrane‐less organelle that serves as the main microtubule (MT)‐organizing center in animal cells, plays a pivotal role in the orderly progression of the cell cycle. Improper function of the centrosome results in abnormal cell division and proliferation that can lead the development of various human disorders. Thus, elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying how centrosomal scaffold proteins orchestrate to generate a micrometer‐scale architecture in the three‐dimensional intracel… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
