Self‐Assembled Film of Prussian Blue and Analogues: Optical and Electrochemical Properties and Application as Ion‐Sieving Membranes.

Abstract: Membranes. -Ultrathin films of metal hexacyanometalates are prepared with monolayer precision by multiple sequential adsorption of metal cations (Fe 3+ , Fe 2+ , Co 2+ , and Ni 2+ ) and hexacyanometalate anions ([Fe(CN) 6 ] 3-, [Fe(CN) 6 ] 4-, and [Co(CN) 6 ] 3-) on solid supports. The films are characterized by UV and IR spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry.
