“…It appears that the course of such a disease is generally worse, with a poor response to acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, more exacerbations or myasthenic crises, and the need for multimodal immunosuppressive therapy, as we encountered. Recent series in adults and children have found rituximab to have excellent efficacy in treating the MuSK forms, with high rates of complete remission . Although both MuSK‐positive patients in our cohort improved in response to rituximab, they continued to require high corticosteroid doses and plasmapheresis or azathioprine.…”
