Abstract: A perfluorinated Ni(ii) complex encapsulates MeOH, forming unique tetrameric clusters stabilized by hydrogen bonding in the crystal to achieve remarkable uptake of MeOH over EtOH and water, demonstrating potential for separation and sensing.
