Selective Oil Agglomeration of Lignite

Abstract: In this study, desulfurization and deashing of Adıyaman-Go ¨lbas ¸ı lignite by the agglomeration method were studied. For this purpose, three groups of agglomeration experiments were made. The effects of solid concentration, bridging liquid type and dosage, pH, and screen size on the agglomeration after desliming were investigated in the first group of experiments. The effects of lake water and sea water (the Mediterranean Sea water, the Aegean Sea water, and the Black Sea water) on the agglomeration were inve… Show more

“…We shall note that the range of original pulp densities in the conducted experiments, ρ ws =50-600 g/cm 3 , is considerably wider than that in articles [9,[11][12][13][14]. At the same time, lower limits of ρ ws are close (we have 5 %, in [9] -7.5 %, in [11] -11.1 %).…”

“…This factor, according to studies [4,9,[11][12][13][14], is one of the most significant for obtaining quality concentrate and the waste of oiled aggregation of coal. This is confirmed by the results obtained in research.…”
