Aiming to improve the manufacturing accuracy of the build-in channels by selective laser melting (SLM), an anti-deformation model was established which was based on the simulation results of deformation and stress distribution of channel structure models with different length-depth ratios in SLM process by Simufact Additive software. It is demonstrated that the length of the channel structure is proportional to the deformation. Conversely, with the depth of the channel increases, the total distortion has a tendency of decreasing. The anti-deformation model can effectively reduce the amount of adhesive powder and deformation on the inner surface of printing parts, and improve the forming accuracy. In particular, the double-peak distortion occurs when the length and depth of the channel are 20 and 60 mm, respectively. Meanwhile, the roughness of overhanging surface is improved by 41.21% after compensating by anti-deformation mathematical model.

Selective laser melting (SLM) is an important method in additive manufacturing. SLM has obvious advantages for the fabrication of metal parts with complex structure that cannot be processed directly and are manufactured in relatively low amounts. However, the surfaces of the SLM-formed parts contain more adhesive particles and pores than those manufactured by traditional methods, leading to the poor corrosion resistance of the parts and preventing the widespread use of SLM. To solve these problems, jet electrochemical machining and jet electrodeposition combined processing techniques were investigated for the treatment of the substrate surface in this work. Jet electrochemical machining was used to remove the surface defects of the SLM-formed parts, and the results were compared with the traditional sandblasting and sandpaper grinding surface treatment methods. Then, the nickel coating was deposited on the surface of the SLM-formed parts using jet electrodeposition to protect the surface and extend the service life of the parts. The mechanisms of the different processing techniques were analyzed, and properties such as the substrate morphology, coating morphology, corrosion resistance of the coating, and adhesion of the coating were compared. The results show that holes, adhesive particles and other defects are still present on the substrate surface after sandpaper grinding and sandblasting and affect the quality of the nickel coating. After electrochemical machining, the SLM surface defects were almost completely removed, forming a uniform microporous structure that interlocked with the nickel coating. The coating was smooth and dense and showed the best corrosion resistance and binding force. In 3.5 wt% NaCl solution, the corrosion potential reached −0.196 V, and the maximum binding force reached 35 N.

This paper aims to solve the problem of laser cladding for complex parts, a trajectory planning method for complex parts is proposed. First, the part model is transformed into stereolithography (STL) files, the plane groups are established where the spacing of plane groups is determined by the overlap ratio, and the direction is perpendicular to the laser scanning. Further, to obtain the excellent cladding performance, a search algorithm based on the height error of adjacent cladding is proposed to select effective points. After this, adjacent points are clustered to a dataset according to the relative position that decided by the angle. Meanwhile, the position and the attitude of all points are calculated by the geometrical characteristics and then stored. The cooperate work of positioner and robot is adopted, the attitude of the current point is adjusted using the positioner, that is, the molten pool of the current point is in a horizontal state, which can ensure the forming accuracy of curved parts after cladding. Finally, the cladding experiment of curved surface parts is carried out. The results of the analysis showed that the coating had a smooth surface and a compact structure without defects. This method can be applied in other curved parts.
