Selective dye adsorption by highly water stable metal-organic framework: Long term stability analysis in aqueous media

“…Despite of several outstanding benefits, MOFs have some limitation like as toxicity, low biocompatibility, low chemical stability, and low thermal stability, which restricted their application in drug adsorption and delivery . Among the numerous synthesized MOFs, Zr‐based MOFs have been widely used as drug adsorbent material because of their high chemical stability specially water stability, high thermal and mechanical stability, high level of biocompatibility, and high drug‐loading capacity .
