“…Alternatively, it is indicated by [28] that diversities in different domains (e.g., time, frequency, spatial) can play a key role in reliability enhancements. It is proved capable to significantly reduce packet errors by exploiting the multi-path spatial diversity in multi-hop networks, such as Cloud-RAN fronthauls [13], amplified-and-forward relaying networks [14], and aeronautical ad-hoc networks [15].…”

“…Differing from the physical layer approaches [9], [10], [11], our proposed data link layer method does not rely on cross-user resource allocation nor on specific multiplexing scheme. Indeed, CLARQ exploits the time diversity in an opportunistic fashion, and therefore is capable to apply in single-hop networks without making use of spatial-diversity-based methods [13], [14], [15].…”

“…In [28], with the joint optimization of transmission power and rate, authors have adopted and have compared between many packet retransmissions schemes to find out the most appropriate one that yields to the best spectrum efficiency performance over multi-hop relay networks. In [29], [30], new types of ARQ based on a selective and opportunistic AF relaying method have been developed. Through simulations, authors showed that the proposed ARQ schemes are more effective for throughput enhancements, and can provide cell-edge users almost three times the throughput gain in comparison with ARQ with no relay-assisted forwarding.…”

“…In order to ensure the reliable transmission of highspeed data, the system includes effective error detection and retransmission technology. The HARQ (hybrid automatic repeat request) strategy consists of two parts: (1) error detection, the receiving port will receive the data error detection, if the data is wrong, start retransmission and (2) retransmission, using the reverse link to request the source side to send again [11,12]. In reference [13], the influence of low-power transmission strategy and incomplete channel state information on outage probability of HARQ-assisted nonorthogonal multiple access systems was obtained by using integral domain partition method and extended to the scenarios with any number of users.…”
