Selection of Neutral Grounding Reactor for Line to Ground Fault

Abstract: Single line to ground faults are the most prominent faults in the power system. This may damage the generators and transformers in the system ultimately leading to its failure. Introducing a neutral grounding reactor between the neutral and ground in the high voltage system, will reduce the fault current and hence will protect the power system components.
