Selection of Multi-layer Remote Phosphor Structure for Heightened Chromaticity as well as Lumen Performance within WLED Devices

Abstract: The hue output for remote phosphor layout is still a concern for researchers and producers working on developing WLED devices since said layout proves inferior to the conformal or in-cup phosphor package. However, the luminous efficiency in the layout showed significant improvements. Thus, this study aims to achieve higher color quality accompanied by high lumen output for remote phosphor structures by using additional phosphor layers. Specifically, the study introduces the double-film and triple-film configur… Show more

“…Though the CRI is not as high as expected, the CQS on the other may be sufficient for general lighting. CQS is harder to manage than the CRI, especially at the high CCTs such as 5000 K. This is because the CQS is more complex in assessing elements which include the CRI, the visuality of eyes, and the color coordinate, combining with a larger number of color samples than the original CRI factor (Huu and Thi, 2022). Hence, the color adequacy for in terms of CCT consistency and rendition could be achieved with BaAl1.4Si0.6O3.4N0.6:Eu 2+ .…”

“…For the study, we produced multiple CaMg:EM phosphors possessing crystal formation of β-Ca3(PO4)2 via the solid-state technique under a significant temperature below a reducing environment: 15% H2 along with 85% N2. We produced the usual white one-element phosphor having CIE hue coordinates shown as (0.330, 0.328) by altering the ratios between La 3+ and Y 3+ , as well as Eu 2+ and Mn 2+ via a hypothesis concerning crystal field potency, as well as power shift in both, whereas past projects concerning associated mixtures concentrated on power shift or achieved illumination in white through combining a pair of phosphor elements (Sun et al, 2022;Huu and Thi, 2022;Hakim et al, 2021).…”

“…Such a procedure may yield a significant lumen exceeding 30 lm/W. On the other hand, it results in low CRI below 65, which is caused by a faint red discharge (Huu and Thi, 2022;Hakim et al, 2021). It is worth noting that the majority of phosphors do not possess an absorption line between 440 nm and 460 nm.…”
