“…Recently, a few tests have been conducted to obtain fatigue behaviour of the butt welds between cast steel joint and hot‐rolled steel tubular members. Veselcic compared fatigue strength of six types of weld detail by using four‐point bending tests and tension tests on small specimens. Haldimann–Sturm and Nussbaumer proposed recommendations for the design and fabrication of cast steel joints from the viewpoint of fatigue based on analytical and experimental research on cast steel joints connected with steel tubular members by butt welds.…”
