Abstract: Lead (Pb) is one of the most toxic heavy metals (HMs) for plants and the environment. Sweetpotato [Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam], the sixth most important food crop in the world, is tolerant to various environmental stresses, owing to its high antioxidant capacity.
