Selecting stratospheric airship energy storage system using analytic hierarchy process and physical programming

Abstract: An evaluation model for stratospheric airship energy storage system selection is developed, which provides a new method for quantitative selection of renewable energy storage system. Firstly, some basic properties and their indexes are proposed to evaluate the overall performance of stratospheric airship energy storage system by qualitative analysis of airship’s operation principium and operation environment. Secondly, the weights to be used as subperformance indexes coefficients of the model are obtained with… Show more

“…By modeling an event chain and quantifying it using all kinds of engineering data (such as test data, field data, expert judgment, etc. ), PRA assesses the risk level of systems, [15][16][17] the accuracy of which depends on the event chain development level. This method of risk assessment has high requirements on the quality and structure of hazardous sources data, but lack of resources meant that it is difficult to cope with a situation that exists a large number of uncertainty factors in hazardous sources data.…”

“…And the following conclusion can be drawn that the solar array on the airship can provide enough energy to drive the vehicle, but the output performance of solar array is sensitive to a number of factors, such as flight altitude, flight location, date of task and so on. 10,11…”

“…And the following conclusion can be drawn that the solar array on the airship can provide enough energy to drive the vehicle, but the output performance of solar array is sensitive to a number of factors, such as flight altitude, flight location, date of task and so on. 10,11 On this basis, several studies have been carried out about design of the energy system of a stratospheric solar-powered airship. Liu et al 12 presented a model of paving solar cells on curved surface and a model of energy-closed loop during day and night to design a feasible airship which had minimum total mass.…”
