AbstractAim. The aim of the study was to analyze the assessment of issues related to the occurrence of spinal pain in professionally active nurses.Material and methods. The study group consisted of 145 nurses. The diagnostic survey method was used in the study using a questionnaire technique. The research tool was the original questionnaire (sociodemographic data and questions about opinions on the occurrence of spinal pain). The NRS scale was also used in the study.Results. The vast majority (99%, n=143) of respondents declared that they felt spinal pains. The largest group indicated that the most common location of pain was the lumbar spine (56.55%, n=82). It was shown that there is a statistically significant relationship between the use of sick leave and the intensity of the pain (χ2=24.101, p<0.05) and the subjective perception of the degree of disability (χ2=35.8300, p<0.05). A significant statistical relation between the place of work and the section of the spine most frequently affected by pain (χ2=12.719, p<0.05) was demonstrated.Conclusions. The work as a nurse contributes to the occurrence of spinal pain. There is a connection between the place of work and the occurrence of pain syndromes. Spinal pain contributed to absence from work. Seniority at work has an impact on the occurrence of spinal pain. Nursing staff has knowledge about spinal saving techniques. The occurrence of spinal pain syndromes affects the functioning in everyday life.

the global covID-19 pandemic has resulted in restrictions in most countries. one of them was to replace traditional education in schools with online learning. Such a change could provoke a build-up of negative feelings due to insecurity and loneliness. in addition, reducing daily physical activity and closing sports venues can have a detrimental effect on health. the article presents the results of the study of the impact of distance learning on the daily physical activity and condition of physical education teachers in Poland, as well as the subjective perception of physical and mental health in this professional group. google forms were used to collect the data. the research tool was a questionnaire. the analysis showed that distance learning had a significant negative impact on the physical and mental health of the study group. the impact of distance learning on physical and mental health is gender independent. Teachers more often negatively assessed their physical and mental health compared to the studies in previous years. Daily physical activity of the subjects decreased, and most of them increased their body weight. Less than 3% of the surveyed teachers during the blockade felt happy and full of life.

IntroductionThe COVID-19 pandemic has had repercussions on teachers’ beliefs about their efficacy in their profession. In light of this, the aim of this study was to determine the effect of perceived stress, job satisfaction, and workload on professional self-efficacy among Peruvian regular basic education teachers.MethodThis was a cross-sectional explanatory study involving 687 regular basic education teachers (57.6% women) aged between 23 and 55 years (M = 38.15, SD = 8.58), from both private and public institutions across the three regions of Peru (coastal, jungle and highland). The instruments used were the Professional Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (AU-10), the Perceived Stress Scale related to the pandemic (EEP-10), the Affective Job Satisfaction Scale (BIAJS), and the Workload Scale (ECT).ResultsA SEM analysis was conducted, yielding satisfactory goodness-of-fit indices: χ2 = 87.028, p = 0.000, with 11 df, CFI = 0.993, RMSEA = 0.047, and SRMR = 0.021. This confirmed H1, as there is a negative effect of workload on professional self-efficacy (β = −0.11, p = 0.017). Similarly, H2 was confirmed, as there is a positive effect of job satisfaction on professional self-efficacy (β = 0.13, p = 0.003). However, H3 was rejected, as no significant effect of perceived stress on professional self-efficacy was evident (β = −0.02, p = 0.658).ConclusionWorkload and job satisfaction explain the perceived level of self-efficacy among Peruvian regular basic education teachers. However, there is no evidence to suggest that stress affects their sense of efficacy.
