Selected bibliographies on research into higher education: An international inventory

Abstract

This international collection of bibliographies on higher education represents an attempt to fill a bibliographic vacuum in higher education and is intended as a basic source for everyone concerned with research into higher education. Three hundred bibliographies from all over the world, mainly published during the last twenty years, are catalogued in alphabetical order.The present work is a collection of bibliographies of research into higher education which should help to overcome the bibliographic vacuum hindering systematic research work in this field. Of course, as the inventory shows, a considerable number of bibliographies on higher education systems in several countries and on certain areas of higher education research have been published, but an international compilation of the available bibliographic records has so far been lacking.
