Seismic performance and shear bearing-capacity of truss SRC beam-column frame joints

Abstract: The structural performance of a frame joint is particularly important, which can determine the safe state of the global structure. For this reason, the seismic performance of the truss steel reinforced concrete (SRC) beam-column frame joints is investigated by the experimental study and the nonlinear finite element modeling. The main design parameters include the section size of the web rods, the axial compression ratio and the section size of I-steel. The failure mechanism, load-displacement skeleton curve, t… Show more

“…Many scholars have extensively studied the synergistic performance between steel beams and concrete slabs. Steel-concrete composite structures are widely used in the field of construction due to their excellent mechanical performances (Xiang et al, 2017; Deng et al, 2021; Chen et al, 2019b). In the practical use of steel-concrete composite beams, the cooperative work between concrete slab and steel beam has always been an important issue in composite structures.…”

“…Since joints are a vulnerable part of earthquakes, the study of joints has attracted the attention of scholars all over the world. Experimental studies on the shear bearing capacity and seismic performance of reinforced concrete (RC) beam and column joints are necessary (Ma et al, 2019;Cao et al, 2021;Deng et al, 2021). Many researchers have conducted experimental studies on shear capacity, seismic performance, or mechanical behavior of square RC columns (Huang et al, 2019), T-shaped (Zhang et al, 2019;Deng et al, 2021), L-shaped (Chen et al, 2021a;Chen et al, 2021b), and other shaped columns connected with reinforced concrete beams.…”
