Seismic Fragility and Risk Assessment of a Nuclear Power Plant Containment Building for Seismic Input Based on the Conditional Spectrum

Abstract: A procedure for the seismic fragility assessment of nuclear power plants by applying ground motions compatible with the conditional probability distribution of a conditional spectrum (CS) is presented with a case study of a containment building. Three CSs were constructed using different control frequencies to investigate the influence of the control frequency.
