Abstract:Five steel-concrete composite beams are tested under low reversed cyclic loading. The failure patterns, hysteretic characteristics, hysteretic model, deformation restoring capacity, ductility, energy dissipation capacity, stiffness degradation and slips of the prestressed composite beams are discussed. Attention is paid to the effects of partial prestress ratio and degree of shear connection on the seismic performance of these beams. Studies show that the prestressed composite beams behave in a relatively duct… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
