Seismic behavior of precast concrete beam‐column connections with bolt connectors in columns

Abstract: This article investigated four concrete beam‐column connections experimentally, including an interior precast specimen, an exterior precast specimen and two corresponding cast‐in‐place (CIP) specimens. Longitudinal rebars of precast columns were connected by embedded bolt connectors, while longitudinal rebars of precast beams were welded in CIP core areas. These full‐scale beam‐column connections with axial compression ratio 0.5 were tested under reversed cyclic loading to estimate seismic behavior. The result… Show more

“…In general, the tri-linear model has been able to reflect the nonlinearity of members approximately, and is extensively used [17]. In this paper, the four-linear model was adopted [18]. By adding an elastic limit control point (point A in Figure 1) before the yielding of the member, the elastic stiffness information can be expressed more accurately.…”

“…As an important connection method for prefabricated concrete (PC) building components, the grouted sleeve connection has many merits in high safety, strong reliability, simple installation and low cost over other connection modes (e.g. slurry anchor lap connection, bolt connection, and welding) [1][2][3]. For the PC building, the quality of the connection usually has a significant impact on the safety of the entire building.…”
