In wireless networking, the security of flying ad hoc networks (FANETs) is a major issue, and the use of drones is growing every day. A distributed network is created by a drone network in which nodes can enter and exit the network at any time. Because malicious nodes generate bogus identifiers, FANET is unstable. In this research study, we proposed a threat detection method for detecting malicious nodes in the network. The proposed method is found to be most effective compared to other methods. Malicious nodes fill the network with false information, thereby reducing network performance. The secure ad hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) that has been suggested algorithm is used for detecting and isolating a malicious node in FANET. In addition, because temporary flying nodes are vulnerable to attacks, trust models based on direct or indirect reliability similar to trusted neighbors have been incorporated to overcome the vulnerability of malicious/selfish harassment. A node belonging to the malicious node class is disconnected from the network and is not used to forward or forward another message. The FANET security performance is measured by throughput, packet loss and routing overhead with the conventional algorithms of AODV (TAODV) and reliable AODV secure AODV power consumption decreased by 16.5%, efficiency increased by 7.4%, and packet delivery rate decreased by 9.1% when compared to the second ranking method. Reduced packet losses and routing expenses by 9.4%. In general, the results demonstrate that, in terms of energy consumption, throughput, delivered packet rate, the number of lost packets, and routing overhead, the proposed secure AODV algorithm performs better than the most recent, cutting-edge algorithms.

With the fast development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the user increasing demand of UAV video transmission, UAV video service is widely used in dynamic searching and reconnoitering applications. Video transmissions not only consider the complexity and instability of 3D UAV network topology but also ensure reliable quality of service (QoS) in flying ad hoc networks (FANETs). We propose hedge transfer learning routing (HTLR) for dynamic searching and reconnoitering applications to address this problem. Compared with the previous transfer learning framework, HTRL has the following innovations. First, hedge principle is introduced into transfer learning. Online model is continuously trained on the basis of offline model, and their weight factors are adjusted in real-time by transfer learning, so as to adapt to the complex 3D FANETs. Secondly, distributed multi-hop link state scheme is used to estimate multi-hop link states in the whole network, thus enhancing the stability of transmission links. Among them, we propose the multiplication rule of multi-hop link states, which is a new idea to evaluate link states. Finally, we use packet delivery rate (PDR) and energy efficiency rate (EER) as two main evaluation metrics. In the same NS3 experimental scenario, the PDR of HTLR is at least 5.11% higher and the EER is at least 1.17 lower than compared protocols. Besides, we use Wilcoxon test to compare HTLR with the simplified version of HTLR without hedge transfer learning (N-HTLR). The results show that HTRL is superior to N-HTRL, effectively ensuring QoS.

FANETs are the new means of communication and have been aiding domestic and military applications for a long time now. FANETS are supported by UAV (Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles) which carry out the task of transmitting and receiving data. FANETs are still susceptible to challenges and issues that ad hoc networks usually face. Because of the lack of infrastructure, FANET related issues need to be addressed before applying any strategies or protocols over the network. Routing and effective transmission are two major challenges faced in FANETs. This objective of a FANET is not aided in any way by the high mobile AUVs in the network scenario. Packet loss and routing failures are common occurrences in a FANET. Node and route links are not permanent and may lead to a lot of transmission related issues. The performance of any network is gauged by its successful delivery rate. Effective delivery is made possible by carefully planned routing strategies. Setting up an optimal path right from the originating source to the delivery address is quite the challenge in a FANET. FANETs also fall victim to various network attacks, primary of which is the black hole attack. Black hole attacks are more common in a FANET and this is closely associated with the AUVs’ high mobility. Data may be completely lost during a black hole attack. Our proposed protocol will address the challenge of effective routing while addressing black hole attacks. Our Eagle optimized Energy Efficient Ad hoc On demand Distance Vector (OEE-AODV)routing protocol focuses primarily on selecting an optimized and secure route towards the destination node .Network factors like trust degree, priority queue, network delay, hop count and the level of energy consumption are taken into consideration in formulating a routing strategy for the proposed protocol. The outcome is an efficient routing strategy that can oversee the successful delivery of the data. The proposed protocol works in two phases. In the first phase, it focuses on setting up an optimal route with select nodes, while in the second phase it enhances the security level of the network by foiling potential black hole attacks with the use of the RREP packets. The nodes along the discovered route will be made up of nodes which are scrutinized and determined as trusted nodes. The OEE-AODV protocol assures the successful delivery of data with the help of an optimal and trusted routing path. The proposed OEE-AODV protocol is assessed against AODV and AODV-V2 protocols to assess its performance. OEE-AODV achieves maximum PDR and throughput while conserving the network energy by minimizing the network delay.
