Abstract: Zusammenfassung: Anhand einer Literaturubersicht wird ausfuhrlich die Rolle der Sedimente im Stoffhaushalt, insbesondere flacher limnischer und mariner Gewasser, dargestellt, wobei die Stoffaustauschprozesse a n der SedimentlWasser-Kontaktzone besondere Berucksichtigung gefunden haben. Fur zusammengefaDt funf biologisch und 15 uberwiegend physikalisch-chemisch gepriigte Prozesse werden die Hauptphosphortransporte zwischen Wasserkorper -Biomasse -Detritus -Sediment (incl.
