This article is dedicated to WiFi wireless networks. WiFi is a modern wireless technology. The article provides brief information about the history of their creation and development over the years and indicates features, areas of use, and main parameters. Steps taken to eliminate the possible consequences of these vulnerabilities were investigated. The main points to be considered during planning and the important issues to pay attention to while designing have been explained. WIFI security protocols, the history of their first creation, and the reasons for their creation have been investigated. As a result of the development of science and technology, the emergence and replacement of new protocols, their areas of use, and their shortcomings were mentioned. The article also discusses the strengths and weaknesses of the WEP, WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 series. At the same time, the article explains the possibilities of using the protocols and their special characteristics. The application of these protocols in practice has also been investigated. The main purpose of the article is to create a source of information for undergraduate and graduate students who want to get information about WIFI, its efficiency, benefits, and harms, as well as WIFI security protocols to ensure its security. At the same time, this article can serve as a short resource for students preparing for exams, courses, and research papers. Also, anyone who wants to learn about WiFi security protocols can use this article.
