The method of the stochastic Markov process used for the analysis of operation of a training aircraft-Cessna 150 was presented in the article. In this article, the time changing probability of readiness was determined on the basis of knowledge of the current aircraft operation. Markov stochastic processes have been used as a model to determine aircraft-Cessna 150 readiness for specific tasks. In order to determine the readiness, the probability of being in one of the investigated states is determined. The analysed states included: standby, pre-flight service, flight, interstate service, after-flight service and hangar service.

In most NATO countries, helicopter pilots are prepared in accordance with a modern system of threestage training: selection, basic and advanced. The training in the air is performed according to the parallelism of the training. The scheduling of pilot training process based on parallel model, which includes the technological relationships between the individual exercises, whereby for each air exercise, the exercises are specified, which must be done beforehand. The purpose of this contribution is to propose a multi-criteria mathematical model which would enable the selection of exercises for each pilot, the appropriate selection of the aircraft and the moment of beginning of each exercise, so that all required exercises will be carried out in the shortest possible time and the number of trained, in a state of readiness pilots, should be as high as possible. Additionally, in this paper the sketch of a multi-criteria solution is presented. A crucial feature of this work is the model application to optimize pilot training.

This paper discusses the relationship between the next aircraft modifications on the number and consequences of accidents or incidents. The problem is discussed on the example of selected models of the Boeing brand. The first part of the paper discusses the impact of introducing new designs on flight safety. The differences between modifications of selected Boeing aircraft are briefly presented. Definitions of an accident and an aircraft incident are quoted and the sources of data used for the analysis are presented. In the next part of the study, the number of aircraft of a given type in service at a given time was estimated based on delivery reports. The numbers of aircraft in service were compared with aircraft accident and incident reports. The number of adverse occurrences per aircraft of a given type in the sequential years following the introduction of a new model was presented in tables and graphs. In the following part of the study, the probability of occurrence of different loss categories in the first two years of operation after the launch of the new aircraft models was calculated. Finally, the results obtained are summarised and discussed as well as interpreted.
