Abstract-Cloud computing is an extended environment of information technology services that offers unlimited computing services to improve productivity and operational efficiency. It supports resource sharing and multi-tenancy with reduced capital and operational expenditure. So nowadays, the private enterprises, government organizations, educational institutional are adopting cloud services for their work. As ease of use and low-cost benefits are two main features of cloud computing, security and trust are two main issues related to cloud services. In recent years, a lot of research on cloud security has been carried out and many more techniques and methods are proposed to overcome cloud security issues. One such security measure we are focusing here is user authentication. This paper identifies different authentication attacks and techniques approached to improve authentication in Cloud.

The emerging area of mobile cloud computing will influence the future of varied applications, such as electronic commerce and health informatics. It is expected to rise in popularity over other models in cloud computing. This is facilitated by its simplicity, accessibility and ease of use. With mobile cloud computing, resource-constrained mobile devices could capitalize on the computation/storage resources of cloud servers via communication networks. Despite the advantage of this innovative computing model, mobile devices in mobile cloud computing are open to more security risks because they often have to access cloud servers through untrusted networks from different locations. Therefore, security is a critical problem to be tackled in mobile cloud computing. One of the most important aspects of mobile cloud computing security is to establish authenticated communication sessions between mobile devices and cloud servers. In this paper, we present a novel authentication scheme, Message Digest-based Authentication (MDA). Technically, MDA strategically incorporates hashing, in addition to traditional user ID and passwords, to achieve mutual authentication. The effectiveness of MDA is validated with Scyther, a widely-used security protocol analyzer. Our experimental results indicate that MDA is capable of withstanding a variety of different security attacks, such as man-in-the-middle, replay attacks, etc.

<p>Some aspects of informatization of the medical ed ucation field are considered. The problem of providing the interoperability<br />between cloud services and information systems that can exist in the medical university is determined. The approach of the integration of the Google Apps for Education cloud services with the existing information systems based on the Google Apps For Developers features is propose d. The example of the integration solution in Ternopil State Medical University by I. Ya. Horbachevsky which is based on the "SysAdminka" information system development is shown. Practical recipes of the application of the School Directory Sync util as the "SysAdminka" information system component are offered.</p>
