Secure smart contracts for cloud‐based manufacturing using Ethereum blockchain

Abstract: Past international trade practices have been associated with opaque information flows that have hindered traceability and created hurdles in hassle-free trade. Blockchain and allied technologies have been investigated as a panacea for the problems faced by the Cloud-Based Manufacturing industry. However, previous literature has focused on limited aspects of a typical Cloud-Based Manufacturing chain, such as monitoring assets and securing traceability, which is widely neglecting data integrity and data access. … Show more

“…Therefore, the method is provided between DO and MDR to securely share EHR. 44,45 The BEAMMRS scheme in this paper uses the smart contract, which is proposed by Watanab et al 46 to ensure that the patient and the MDR can communicate securely without the trusted third party. Moreover, the BEAMMRS scheme performs the contracts in Ethereum, which realizes the immutability and traceability of transactions.…”

“…The element of blockchain brilliant agreements enables to program the blockchain to oversee exchanges among members engagement while getting to the information 14 . An autonomous system and machine can learn and adjust to several situations after some period, and settle on trusted and precise choice results which are confirmed and approved by all mining hubs of the blockchain 15‐17 . Thus, such choices cannot be discredited and may be followed and confirmed by everyone taking an interest element.…”

“…Smart contracts can facilitate the construction of decentralized applications, which expands the application of blockchain to areas that are way beyond the cryptocurrency, such as healthcare, [7][8][9] Internet of Things (IoT), [10][11][12][13][14] digital identity, 15,16 copyright protection, 17 voting, 18 economy sharing, 19,20 and many others. [21][22][23][24][25][26][27] However, with the rapid development and application of smart contracts, many security issues have emerged. Attacks as the result of contract vulnerabilities have caused the loss of a large amount of money.…”
