The Internet of Things (IoT) were employed to help clients access the needed products with less effort and time. To discover the optimal path, enhanced K-Means (EK-M) clustering is utilised. By reducing the number of K from two or more to one, the conventional K-Mean has been improved. Using an IoTs platform, the optimal path should be the shortest distance. In EK-M, K is a telephone location, by using Global positioning systems sensor in a smart phone, latitude and longitude are used to detect the location of the phone, and Google Maps are used to find the locations of shops on a virtual map. The largest issue with IoT is security because of its complicated environment and the constrained resources of its devices. Blockchain is the main way that important information on IoT platforms is kept safe. In this study, the IoT framework using Blockchain with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) in a six-block mode is protected. Products data is being encrypted, then transmitted to the Internet by means of an authorised person to be obtained from anywhere. To get at the sensors' actual readings, the decryption is finally proposed. In EK-M and AES, the suggested system yields good, secure, and balanced results. Summary Over the last decade, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become ever more popular, as is evident from its role in changing the human lifestyle and conferring remarkable privileges for them. It has a significant presence in various crucial areas, including smart cities, smart factories, manufacturing, transportation, and healthcare. Massive amounts of data generated by IoT devices have the potential to endanger the lifetime of nodes in IoT‐based networks due to increased communication power consumption. It has become crucial to propose solutions for network‐based issues, such as quality of service, security, network heterogeneity, congestion avoidance, reliable routing, and energy conservation. To address the mentioned problems, routing protocols play a critical role in data transmission among heterogeneous items. In such environments, routing refers to constructing routes between mobile nodes. Since identifying optimal routes among IoT nodes and establishing an effective routing protocol in an IoT network are an NP‐hard issue, employing metaheuristic algorithms may be a viable solution to overcome this problem. Various IoT routing protocols based on metaheuristic algorithms have been presented in recent years, but there is still a lack of systematic study for reviewing the existing works. The current study emphasizes the impact of metaheuristic algorithms in the IoT routing problem, discusses the optimization models, presents a comprehensive comparison of protocols based on critical parameters, and eventually suggests some hints for future studies.

Enabling image optimisation and artificial intelligence technologies for better Internet of Things framework to predict COVID

Sensor technology advancements have provided a viable solution to fight COVID and to develop healthcare systems based on Internet of Things (IoTs). In this study, image processing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are used to improve the IoT framework. Computed Tomography (CT) image‐based forecasting of COVID disease is among the important activities in medicine for measuring the severity of variability in the human body. In COVID CT images, the optimal gamma correction value was optimised using the Whale Optimisation Algorithm (WOA). During the search for the optimal solution, WOA was found to be a highly efficient algorithm, which has the characteristics of high precision and fast convergence. Whale Optimisation Algorithm is used to find best gamma correction value to present detailed information about a lung CT image, Also, in this study, analysis of important AI techniques has been done, such as Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Deep‐Learning (Deep‐Learning (DL)) for COVID disease forecasting in terms of amount of data training and computational power. Many experiments have been implemented to investigate the optimisation: SVM and DL with WOA and without WOA are compared by using confusion matrix parameters. From the results, we find that the DL model outperforms the SVM with WOA and without WOA.
