Secular Jewish Identity and Public Religious Participation within Australian Secular Multiculturalism

Abstract: Many Australian Jews label their Jewish identity as secular. However, public representations of Jewish culture within Australian multiculturalism frequently highlight the religious practices of Judaism as markers of Jewish cultural authenticity.
