Section Reports of the Casmt November Meeting

Abstract

The meeting was called to order by the chairman, Floy Hurlbut, at 2:40 P.M., on the North Terrace of the Edgewater Beach Hotel. Dr. S. M. McClure, the first speaker on the program was introduced and spoke very interestingly on the subject "Illinois Rocks and Minerals for the Earth Science Laboratory." He divided the state of Illinois into five collecting areas and described in some detail the various minerals available in each and how they should be prepared for laboratory use.The report of the nominating committee was read and the following officers were elected.
