“…Their research showed that this scheme could shorten the time in external fixator and solve the problem of docking site nonunion, but the patient should be informed of the risk of infection recurrence in advance. Lambiris et al found that it was a good choice to replace the external frame with an intramedullary nail when docking site nonunion, angular deformity of the transport segment or intolerance of the external fixator occurred [24].
