Second harmonic generation from precise diamond blade diced ridge waveguides

Abstract: In this work, carbon ion irradiation and precise diamond blade dicing are applied for Nd:GdCOB ridge waveguide fabrication. The propagation properties of the fabricated Nd:GdCOB waveguides are investigated through experiments and theoretical analysis. The micro-Raman analysis reveals that the lattice of Nd:GdCOB crystal expands during the irradiation process.
