Sebacoyl Isothiocyanate in the Synthesis of Bis (1,3,4-Thiadiazole, 1,3,4-Thiadiazolo[3,2-a]Pyridine, 4-Thiazolidinone, Chromenes, and Naphtho[1,2-b][1,4]Oxazine) Derivatives

Abstract: Reaction of sebacoyl isothiocyanate with cyanoacetic acid hydrazide afforded N 1 ,N 10 -bis (1,3,4-thiadiazole) derivative which used as key precursor for the preparation of bis (1,3,4-thiadiazolo[3,2-a]pyridine, 4-thiazolidinone, chromene, and naphtho[1,2-b][1,4]oxazine) derivatives. The chemical structures of novel compounds were proven by spectroscopic analyses.

“…In the same vein, the CH functional group showed a symmetric stretching mode of vibration with an experimental value ranging from 2944-3042 cm ¹ and a theoretical value ranging from 3002-3043 cm ¹. This result therefore suggests the stability of the compound even when polar solvents are included, which is consistent with the reported literature [21].…”
