Searching extra dimensions in compact stars

Abstract: The electro-magnetic and particle radiation detected from the direction of Cygnus X3 raise the question of the existence of special long-lived, neutral particles. We investigate the origin of these particles in a special approach: the source object may contain compactified extra dimension and these particles are messengers of this state. We describe hyperon stars in 3 + 1 dimension and introduce the description of a compact stars in 3 + 1c + 1 dimensional space-time.

“…Considering a compactified radius R c ∼ 10 −13 cm this 'extra mass' gap is ∼ 100 MeV, which is an available value in hadron spectroscopy by the TeV energy accelerators, such as the Large Hadron Collider [5] or even in superdense compact stars as in Ref. [6] and references therein. In this framework the extra compactified 5 th dimension represents the hypercharge or the similar quantum number (strangeness, charm, or bottomness) connected to even several number of flavors.…”

“…This fact has to be taken seriously into account especially in those contexts in which the strong gravity effects could matches the physics of the Planck scale [29]. On one side, attention is for example devoted to the microphysics of the LHC to search for a sign of the Planck scale length dimension [30,31,32,33], but many efforts are also given to the comprehension of the higher energy astrophysical phenomena linked to the life steps of stellar evolution and that could be a natural arena in which explore the effects of a multidimensional theory [34,35], especially for those cases in which the standard models of stellar structure and evolutions does not properly collide with observed data;…”

“…Therefore geometrization of quantum fields, where charges are associated with compactified extra dimensions, are under investigations. Since, compactified extra dimension(s) or such topological issues have no direct observables in the classical physics cases, thus search for these can start at the known highest energy systems: (i) collisions of nuclei in high-energy particle accelerators or (ii) inside extreme-energetic celestial objects such as compact stars or black holes 3 .…”
