Abstract:One of the most important communities in the seawater ecosystems is the brown algae where Turbinaria ornate is a brown alga species which is rich in nutrients and bioactive compounds. The bioactive components of T. ornata are beneficial for people living along the coast, particularly in Maluku region, an archipelagic region, as well as for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
