Wilcoxon‐Type Scale Tests

Abstract: Wilcoxon‐type tests are surveyed for a comparison of scale parameters of two continuous distributions. Considerations are given to situations where the locations are equal and known, equal but unknown, and unequal and unknown. The tests are distribution‐free and include some that are linear rank tests and some that are not.
