Abstract

Susan Turner is an American criminologist who studies community and institutional corrections, risk and needs evaluation instruments, and other topics in criminal justice for both juveniles and adults. As Director of the Center for Evidence‐Based Corrections at the University of California, Irvine, and an adjunct staff member of the RAND Corporation, she has published widely in several topics in the field of criminal justice, and is considered one of the top researchers in the field. Her research is consistently oriented toward providing research results that can help decision‐makers and practitioners improve their methods and results.
