L indisfarne

Abstract: For more than two centuries, the tidal Island of Lindisfarne housed one of Anglo‐Saxon England's most influential communities. Extant artistic and literary products associated with this community, especially with the cult of St. Cuthbert, demonstrate its continued influence and importance, even after the community was forced to leave the island due to Viking attacks.
