The study primarily contributes to the literature on the EKC by (a) focusing on a sample of less developed countries (LDCs), (b) controlling for per capita GDP scaled by a factor of two (in logs), (c) controlling for lagged per capita GDP squared (in logs), and (d) controlling for per capita GDP cubed (in logs). The ef… Show more

“…The concept of leadership and the different styles of leadership is not limited to the operational effects (Wilson-Evered et al, 2001) but also play major role in developing intellectual abilities of employees which ultimately results in better performance and innovation (Bass and Riggio, 2006;Abbas and Riaz, 2012;Jung et al, 2003). Researchers have established link between them (Amar, 1998;Mumford and Licuanan, 2004;Jung and Avolio, 2000;Eisenbeiss et al, 2008;Felfe and Goihl, 2002;Reuvers et al, 2008;Nassani et al, 2020; This Journal is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License Nosheen et al, 2020;Abbas and Riaz, 2012). They further argued that it's the leaders who direct and guide the employees in a way which pave the way for innovation.…”

“…And for all regressions, the robust standard errors are clustered at the city level to relieve the potential spatial and serial correlation (Cameron et al., 2011). X itγ signifies the linear component controls for the essential confounding factors, referring to existing studies (Essandoh et al., 2020; Gu et al., 2021; Khan & Ozturk, 2021; Lv & Li, 2021; Nassani et al., 2021; Wang et al., 2021; Wu, 2022; Wu et al., 2022; Wu & Wang, 2022). It includes the GDP per capita GDPP , the proportion of nonagricultural output (IND) , the annual average population (POP), the proportion of urban resident (URBAN), proportion of tertiary industry employment (EMP), the summation of deposits and loans (BANK), the volume of fiscal revenue and expenditure (FIS), the number of patents authorized (R&D), the ratio of total export‐import volume to GDP (OPEN), and the total investment in fixed assets to GDP (INVEST).…”

“…To deter the actual turnover of employees (Mobley et al, 1979;Rasch and Harrell 1990), the best predictor is the employee turnover intentions (Chen et al, 2011;Steel and Ovalle, 1984). Different researchers advocated the strong relationship of turnover intentions and the various HR practices (Veloutsou and Panigyrakis, 2004;Benson, 2006;Nassani et al, 2020;Singh, 2012;Liou, 2009;Kumar and Singh, 2012).…”
