Abstract: Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance (FT‐ICR) mass spectrometry has become an increasingly significant technique within recent years. The inherently ultrahigh resolution and mass accuracy allow unequivocal assignments of elemental composition to be made for biomolecules.
