“…Kovařík (2004) revised Orthochirus, described 11 new species from Asia, and defined eight major diagnostic characters for the genus. Among other publications focused on the Asian species of Orthochirus, we can mention primarily Kovařík & Fet (2006), and a series of papers on the scorpiofauna of separate Iranian provinces (Navidpour et al, 2008a(Navidpour et al, , 2008b(Navidpour et al, , 2008c(Navidpour et al, , 2008d(Navidpour et al, , 2010(Navidpour et al, , 2011(Navidpour et al, , 2012(Navidpour et al, , 2019Pirali-Kheirabadi et al, 2009) where the specimens were identified mainly according to eight previously defined characters.
