Scoping Review (SR) via Text Data Mining on Water Scarcity and Climate Change

Abstract: Climate change is causing the risk of weather events and instable water accessibility, making water insufficiency a serious problem. According to the 2022 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), 70% of extreme weather events such as droughts and floods have been water-related in the last 15 years. Since the climate change processes are speeding up, this percentage is expected to increase. A plethora of researchers have been working on the correlation between water scarcity and climate change. The pur… Show more

“…The literature review was carried out in Web of Science (WoS) databases, and it is based on a monolingual (English) corpus consisting of 416 texts, corresponding to as many abstracts extracted from the cited databases for the period between the years 2015 and 2022. Web of Science Clativate Analitycs is one of the world's leading databases, recording over 12,000 journals and 160,000 international conferences (Grabowska and Saniuk, 2022; Aversa et al ., 2023). It is the most consistent database according to Zhao and Strotmann (2015) and widely used for citations for scientific purposes (Grzybowska and Awasthi, 2020) and the query theme applied to the databases consists of two keys: “scenario analysis” and “climate change” related to the economic journals.…”
