Scoliosis and Syringomyelia

Abstract: High rate of both scoliotic deformities in patients with syringomyelia (up to 74.4%) and syringomyelia in patients with scoliosis (up to 9.7%) explains the interest of specialists to the patients with combination of such diseases. The literature review covers the modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment, the problems in determination of treatment tactics, particularly the priority of neurosurgical intervention and intervention for scoliosis correction.
