Abstract:Single-Cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) has provided unprecedented opportunities for exploring gene expression and thus uncovering regulatory relationships between genes at the single cell level. However, scRNA-seq relies on isolating cells from tissues. Thus, the spatial context of the regulatory processes is lost. A recent technological innovation, spatial transcriptomics, allows to measure gene expression while preserving spatial information. A first step in the spatial transcriptomic analysis is to identify… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
