Scintillation Scanning in Pediatrics

Abstract: Organ scanning is one of the newer, more exciting developments in radiology. The principles of liver, cardiac, renal, and brain scanning and their application to pediatrics are discussed. Estimates of dose delivered to the whole body and target organs are presented. The doses are usually lower than from commonly performed gastrointestinal or urographic radiographic examinations.
