The effect of emergency department history on health literacy level and role of digital literacy: An observational study

In this research, it was aimed to evaluate the effect of emergency department history on health literacy level and the role of digital literacy. A total of 454 participants were subjected to survey including health literacy scale, the digital literacy scale, and the demographic information form. Participants were divided into 2 groups as emergency medicine service (EMS) history (n = 269) and no EMS history (n = 185) groups. Health literacy, attitude, cognitive, and total digital literacy level of EMS history group were significantly higher than no EMS history group (P < .05). Social dimension of digital literacy scale was significantly higher in no EMS history group (P < .05). In no EMS history group, health literacy was significantly correlated with attitude (r = 0.298; P < .01), technical (r = 0.157; P < .01), cognitive (r = 0.369; P < .01), social (r = −0.302; P < .01) dimensions, and total score of digital literacy (r = 0.213; P < .01). In EMS history group, health literacy was significantly correlated with attitude (r = 0.553; P < .01), technical (r = 0.488; P < .01), cognitive (r = 0.555; P < .01) dimensions, and total score of digital literacy (r = 0.514; P < .01). Digital literacy had significant and positive effect on health literacy for all participants (OR = 0.126; P < .01), no EMS history (OR = 0.059; P < .01) and EMS history group (OR = 0.191; P < .01). People’s health literacy skills are positively impacted if they have ever received medical attention from EMS units, regardless of the reason. Furthermore, among those who have used emergency medical services in the past, the impact of digital literacy on health literacy is statistically substantially larger.

Currently, sport is considered an entertainment and leisure industry and includes activities such as athletics, water, and skiing. The influence of a sport event exceeds the event itself, which indicates the importance of a sport facility to the building and construction. A sport facility refers to a facility related to the sport industry, mainly including not only stadiums, swimming pools, and sport centers, but also water parks, ski resorts, and other amusement facilities. At present, there is a lack of comprehensive exploration of integrated building information modeling (BIM) with sport and facilities and performance of applications to help identify potential opportunities to support sustainable development. Therefore, this paper aims to explore the integration of BIM, sport, and facility by revealing the current research status and hotspots in the field, which identifies the development lineage and emerging areas of the research and highlights the development trends and directions for future research towards sustainable development. This paper adopts a quantitative research method to investigate the current research status, hotspots, emerging areas, development trends, and important directions in the integration of BIM, sport, and facilities from macro-quantitative perspectives via bibliometric tools, i.e., VOSviewer and CiteSpace software packages. The main findings of this paper are that the hot keywords on the integration of BIM, sport, and facilities are mainly focused on BIM, facility management, framework, management, sport, construction, and design. Moreover, over the past 26 years (year 1997 to 2022), hot keywords for each year have been revealed through keyword co-occurrence overlay visualization analysis and identified in five schemes, i.e., life cycle assessment, emerging technology, behavior and sport, health and wellbeing, and sustainable built environment. Furthermore, the application of deep learning, IoT, and immersive experience technologies are current hot topics which could provide more innovative breakthroughs for the integration of BIM, sport, and facilities in the future for sustainable development.

As urbanization continues to grow around the world, the risks associated with construction are increasing. Scientific and practical risk assessments help reduce safety risks and achieve healthy, long-term growth, so there has been much research in this field. Through a review of the literature, this study aims to reveal the state and trends of research in the field of safety risk assessment. We searched 473 articles on construction risk assessment from the Web of Science (WoS) in the last decade, bibliometrically analyzed them, and then uncovered their significance using CiteSpace software (6.1. R6 (64-bit) Basic). The primary topics of conversation are countries, institutions, authors, and keywords, followed by references. According to the co-authorship analysis, the current research in this field is mainly from China, the USA, and Australia. Most influential authors currently have teaching or research positions at educational institutions; the most notable of which include Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Tsinghua University. They form a relatively close network of institutional cooperation. Based on the results of the co-term analysis, this study found that the current research hotspots are mainly focusing on “multi-objective optimization”, “risk management”, “mechanical characterization”, “mental fatigue”, “accident prevention”, and many others. Data-driven, AI-assisted, and multi-stakeholder participation are the future trends in this field.
