Nowadays, attitude towards childhood is changing, the value of individual development of the child is intensifying. The demand for the construction and maintenance of individual educational path is increasing. This creates a demand for new professional duties, including support of the individual educational program delegated to the profession of a tutor. The study aims to identify the social roles of the tutor in the first year of formation of the educational community of a private school. The hypothesis of the study: within the process of active formation of social community of the new school tutor, while interacting with parents, teachers and administration, takes on a number of informal duties associated with individual work with the student in excess of educational tasks. The qualitative research strategy was applied due to the need for in-depth analysis and identification of cause-and-effect relationships and hidden meanings in the system of social interactions. The sample (21 people) included representatives of various social roles: tutors — 8 persons; parents of pupils — 5 persons; representatives of administration — 3 persons; subject teachers — 3 persons; psychologists — 2 persons. Data gathering was carried out by the method of in-depth semi-formalized interview based on the developed research program (40 initial questions). It was revealed that the role-based set of duties of the tutor in the new school is not a given characteristic of the profession in question, but is a product of contexts and interactions that form the content of a unique institution under conditions of emerging communications, events and school’s way of life. At the end of the first cycle of life of the educational community of the school a wide range of roles of the tutor was formed, which actualizes the task of professional self-determination of the tutor in the system of social interactions.

Using data from the 30th wave of the “The Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey - Higher School of Economics (RLMS-HSE)”, the involvement of modern parents in raising children is analysed. Involvement practices are presented in the form of a construct that includes: preparing lessons, attending parent-teacher meetings, reading, playing sports, visiting a doctor, spending vacations, creative activities, additional classes in school subjects, and studying information about care and education. The analysis is carried out taking into account three groups of indicators: family (number of children and the presence of other relatives in the family), individual indicators of parents (education, length of time spent at work) and individual indicators of children (gender, age). A fairly high level of parental involvement and significant differences in the indicators of mothers and fathers are shown - the involvement of fathers is rather complementary in nature. Physical activity with children is the only type of practice in which fathers participate almost equally with mothers. The nature of the transformation of practices as the child grows up is analysed. It is noted that if the child’s younger age requires the involvement of at least two adults, then starting from school age, most practices are assigned to only one of them, while vacation is a practice in which parents most often participate jointly. The contribution of other relatives is assessed. It has been shown that the presence of grandparents in the household significantly reduces the workload of mothers. An increase in the number of children in a family has virtually no effect on the level of involvement in general, but it changes the structure of its practices, while the level of involvement of other relatives decreases. The greatest influence on involvement is exerted by the individual indicators of parents, especially education - a mother’s higher education increases the number of hours devoted to children; Most of parental time is spent preparing lessons with children, which in turn affects academic performance. It is noteworthy that the number of hours parents work is positively related to the level of involvement. The conclusion is made about the stability of maternal and vulnerability of paternal involvement.

The author analyses the results of a socio-psychological survey conducted during forced dis-tance learning in general education schools**. The study involved schoolchildren (7–11 grades), teach-ers, parents and school administrators (1 046 re-spondents in total). One of the objectives was to study what things in the context of distance learn-ing can contribute to the emergence of risks of suc-cessful socialization of students and the formation of social competencies. The results revealed those aspects that need to be taken into account when introducing digital technologies into school educa-tion. It is shown that it is necessary to develop and implement psychological and pedagogical condi-tions and methods that ensure the effectiveness of digitalization of education, focused not only on the cognitive development of students and ensuring the success of socialization, but also the development of the subject of activity not as a user of Internet resources, but as a meta-subject that can effectively and creatively use digital resources of the educa-tional environment.
