Scientific and Practical Innovations in Restoring Skin Barrier Properties in Children with Atopic Dermatitis

Abstract: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a multifactorial inflammatory skin disease. Its pathogenetic basis is epidermal barrier dysfunction, immune system dysregulation, as well as skin microbiome diversity decrease that occurs due to genetic predisposition.
