School Principals' Informal Criteria in Assessing Their Teachers: A Comparative Study

Abstract: Teacher appraisal is a necessary tool to manage staff, hire new candidates, and develop senior members. Principals use formal quantitative tools that reflect the competitive social environments in which schools operate.
