Victims reported high levels of anxiety and depression ( Stapinski et al, 2015 ), loneliness ( Carney et al, 2020 ), poor psychological adjustment ( You and Bellmore, 2012 ), lower levels of happiness and life satisfaction ( Estévez et al, 2009 ; Aunampai et al, 2022 ), lower levels of self-esteem ( Overbeek et al, 2010 ), and even suicidal risks ( Xiao et al, 2022 ).
