The Ligand was synthesized by condensation of Indol 3-hydroxy aldehyde, Glycine and Hydrazine hydrate. The reaction of the ligand with ions (CoII, NiII and CuII ions) yielded complexes, these compounds were characterized by physical and spectroscopic techniques. The conductivity showed a non-electrolytic nature for these compounds. The elemental analysis indicated the ligand to metal ratio as 1:1 with general molecular formula M(L)(H2O)nCl2 (L=ligand; M=metal ions. IR data showed the ligand coordinated to the metal ion via azomethine nitrogen and amine of hydrazide in addition to the amine of indol ring with CuΙΙ. The spectral and magnetic studies of the complexes showed that octahedral geometry for CoΙΙ and NiΙΙ while for CuΙΙ distorted octahedral geometry. The particle size and strain of these compounds have been discussed using X-ray diffraction. The antioxidant study for ligand proved to be a good antioxidant. The compounds have been evaluated for their antimicrobial activity against various organisms.

A series of novel 1,2,3-triazole and chiral Schiff base hybrids 2–6 were synthesized by Schiff base condensation reaction from pre-prepared parent component of the hybrids (1,2,3-triazole 1) and series of primary chiral amines and their chemical structure were confirmed using NMR and FTIR spectroscopies, and CHN elemental analysis. Compounds 1–6 were evaluated for their anticancer activity against two cancer PC3 (prostate) and A375 (skin) and MRC-5 (healthy) cell lines by Almar Blue assay method. The compounds exhibited significant cytotoxicity against the tested cancer cell lines. Among the tested compounds 3 and 6 showed very good activity for the inhibition of the cancer cell lines and low toxicity for the healthy cell lines. All the compounds exhibited high binding affinity for Androgen receptor modulators (PDB ID: 5t8e) and Human MIA (PDB ID: 1i1j) inhibitors compared to the reference anticancer drug (cisplatin). Structure activity relationships (SARs) of the tested compounds is in good agreement with DFT and molecular docking studies. The compounds exhibited desirable physicochemical properties for drug likeness.

Imines are multipurpose pharmacophores, simply accessible compounds, and have a broad range of usage in several areas of chemistry especially in medicine. Two novel compound imines, ( E )-4-methyl-2-(( o -tolylimino)methyl)phenol ( 1 ) and ( E )-2-(((4-methoxybenzyl)imino)methyl)-4-methylphenol ( 2 ), were synthesized with effective product via reported protocol in the literature. Single crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) was employed for structural exposition, disclosing that both compounds are orthorhombic. To optimize the newly designed imines, a B3LYP functional with a basis set 6-31G(d,p) was mainly considered. DFT results were utilized to check correlation between the data recovered from SCXRD outcomes and also to measure the energy difference. Hirshfeld surface study was done to demonstrate the intermolecular contacts along the percentage of interaction in the overall crystalline compound. Molecular operating environment program was tested against AChE and BChE enzymes to perform a modeling study of the compounds. The docking score and binding affinity of the compounds revealed that 2 showed comparatively more inhibition than 1 . In silico ADMET studies exposed the physiochemical nature of these novel compounds, and it also unveiled that both compounds behaved as drug-like candidates.
