Sie kristallisieren zueinander isotyp (Raumgruppe Pbca, Z = 8) mit den Gitterkonstanten Sr2Ga2S5 a = 1252,3(6) pm, b = 1203,4(6) pm, c = 1118,0(5) pm; Ba2In2S5 a = 1316,7(6) pm, b = 1272,3(6) pm, c = 1178,4(5) pm; Ba2In2Se5 a = 1365,7(6) pm, b = 1318,2(6) pm, c = 1222,5(5) pm. In der Anionenteilstruktur sind GaS4(InS4/InSe4)‐Tetraeder über drei gem… Show more

“…In the past years, many ternary chalcogenides in the A/M/Q system (A = alkaline-earth metal; M = Al, Ga, In; Q = S, Se, Te) have been discovered and studied, including the large family of the AM 2 Q 4 compounds [21][22][23][24][25], the A 2 M 2 Q 5 compounds [26], Ba 5 Ga 2 S 8 [27], Ba 4 Ga 2 S 7 [28], Ba 3 Ga 2 S 6 [28], and Mg 5 Al 2 Se 8 [29]. Extensive investigation has been carried out on the luminescent properties of these compounds doped with rare earth activators since 1970 and some were found to exhibit very attractive luminescent properties [30][31][32][33].…”

“…The Ba–Se distances are close to the corresponding distances observed in other known compounds where Ba atoms are in a similar coordination environment. Examples are Ba 2 SnSe 4 [3.197(5)–3.792(9) Å], Ba 2 In 2 Se 5 [3.211(1)–3.781(1) Å], Ba 2 ZnSe 3 [3.197(1)–3.423(1) Å], and Ba 0.5 CuZrSe 3 [3.165(1)–3.470(1) Å] …”

“…For example, many active ions (such as Eu, Co 2+ , Ho 3+ , Er 3+ , Tm 3+ ) doped Ba M 2 Q 4 ( M = Al, Ga, In; Q = S, Se) crystals achieved by high‐temperature solid‐state method have shown good chemical‐physical and optical properties 11–17. However, only a few compounds have been found in another important II 2 ‐III 2 ‐VI 5 ‐type system, such as A 2 Ga 2 S 5 ( A = Sr, Ba) and Ba 2 In 2 Q 5 ( Q = S, Se) 18. Among them, Ba 2 In 2 Q 5 ( Q = S, Se) crystals were firstly found in 1990 and only their crystal structures were studied, but their results of structure refinement should be taken carefully because of the high R values (Ba 2 In 2 Se 5 , R 1 = 0.106) 18.…”
